Right on time for spring renovations, Cosentino—the family-owned, Spain-based, nearly 50-year-old surfaces company—reveals Éclos, its revolutionary new mineral material category. Utilizing the brand’s transformative Inlayr technology, which combines engineering and decorative processes to create unprecedented depth, Éclos showcases naturalistic, three-dimensional veining in a range of warm neutrals. But breathtaking aesthetics are just the beginning: The product also performs like a champ, triumphing over today’s home challenges. “Éclos is best used in the kitchen due to the fact that it’s heat-resistant up to 428 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as it does not scratch and it does not stain,” says Patty Dominguez, vice president of business development for Cosentino Americas. Composed of at least 50 percent recycled glass and containing zero silica, “it’s a fully sustainable product,” adds Richard Anuszkiewicz, founder and principal of Nashville studio Raith Design.
Accompanying the preview of Éclos is the premiere of Artik and Amazonik, two fresh series from Cosentino’s signature Dekton line. “I’m so excited about Amazonik,” says Arianne Bellizaire, founder and CEO of her namesake Baton Rouge, Louisiana–design firm. “I love the woodlike texture. You will feel the grain.” She anticipates many different applications—on floors and walls, in bathrooms and kitchens, inside and outdoors.
See for yourself what the company has in store for the season, including smart-tech highlights such as integrations with FreePower and Invisacook, in this tour through its buzzing booth at KBIS. “Cosentino is not only product; it’s brand, it’s innovation, it’s quality,” says Eduardo Cosentino, executive vice president of Cosentino Group and CEO of Cosentino Americas. “What we are trying to do is put all of that together to make sure we provide the best service to our customers around the world.”
