Venice Studio, a “co-designed collection” by Fred Segal and CB2, launched earlier this month, offering casual furniture and decor designed for the home and office. Among the goods: pillows, cushions, upholstery, desks, dressers and chests. It’s the latest news for Fred Segal, as the iconic Los Angeles retailer is opening a new flagship this fall, with a Domino event-collaboration also in the works.
“From its founding in 1961, Fred Segal has been the go-to Los Angeles shopping destination because of its unique character,” says the store’s president, John Frierson. “As we are weeks away from opening our new Los Angeles flagship in mid-September, it’s a transformative moment for the business, but we’re staying true to our roots.”
“Fred Segal has always been known for a more creative and collaborative take on retail,” Frierson adds. “You will see that approach in our store and certainly in partners like CB2. This collection plays to the strengths of both brands.”
Ryan Turf, CB2’s managing director, says, “Collaborating with Fred Segal was the perfect fit for CB2. We’ve been longtime fans of the brand’s unique approach to style in the fashion industry, and felt it would complement our design aesthetic well.”
The CB2 x Fred Segal Venice Studio Collection will be available for purchase on CB2.com as well as in CB2 stores.
