Job Description

We are seeking a commercially minded individual to take on a central role within this next phase of growth. This position sits at the intersection of sales, relationships, and market development, with responsibility for driving performance across our US showroom portfolio while also supporting the progression of key trade accounts into long-term, high-value clients.

At a high level, the role is split across:
• Showroom performance and optimisation (primary focus) ;
• Development and progression of House Accounts into top-performing clients ;
• Coordination of market activity across reps, showrooms, and key accounts .

The role is primarily focused on the optimisation and growth of our showroom network. This involves working closely with showroom partners and their sales teams to increase engagement, improve product visibility, and ultimately drive stronger commercial outcomes. It requires someone who can build genuine relationships within showroom environments, identify where opportunities are being missed, and take a proactive approach to improving performance through increased touchpoints, training, and day-to-day collaboration.

Alongside this, the role will take responsibility for managing and developing Penny Morrison’s House Accounts across the US. These are designers and studios who are already engaging with the brand but require further development to reach their full potential. The focus here is on building relationships, increasing frequency of interaction, and supporting the progression of high-potential clients into top-performing accounts.

The successful candidate will act as Penny Morrison’s primary point of presence in the US market, working closely with independent sales representatives and agents to coordinate activity, support joint client visits, and ensure alignment across all channels.

Job Requirements

Key aspects of the role will include:
• Driving increased sales performance across showroom partners through stronger engagement and clearer focus
• Building relationships with showroom sales teams and identifying internal “champions” for the brand
• Managing and developing House Accounts to increase account value and long-term retention
• Coordinating closely with independent reps, including joint travel and client visits
• Planning and delivering events, activations, and market visits to support relationship development
• Overseeing road kits and ensuring strong, consistent product presentation across the market
• Acting as the central point of communication for US activity and feeding back market insight

A strong on-the-ground presence is essential to the success of the role. This includes regular travel across key US markets, working alongside showroom teams and representatives, visiting clients, and hosting design-led events and activations, as well as trips to the UK to meet with management. These activities are expected to directly support relationship development and commercial growth.

This is a highly autonomous position requiring strong organisation, commercial awareness, and self-direction. The individual will be expected to manage multiple relationships and territories simultaneously, while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes and performance.

Experience and profile:
• 7–10 years’ experience within high-end interiors, textiles, wallcoverings, or related luxury sectors
• Strong experience working with US showrooms and/or trade distribution channels
• Proven ability to build and grow relationships with interior designers and trade clients
• Commercially minded, with a clear understanding of how to increase account value over time
• Highly organised and comfortable managing a multi-territory, travel-heavy role
• Strong communication skills and confidence operating independently

About our Company

Penny Morrison is a British interiors brand with over 30 years of heritage, internationally recognised for its distinctive fabrics, wallpapers, and decorative accessories. Founded by interior designer Penny Morrison, the company was built from a belief that interiors should feel layered, timeless, and deeply personal rather than trend-led or overly decorative. Today, the brand is respected for its refined use of colour, pattern, and craftsmanship, with collections that balance relaxed elegance with enduring sophistication.

The aesthetic of the brand is shaped by a uniquely English point of view, informed by Penny Morrison’s experience working within some of Britain’s most beautiful country houses and historic interiors. At the same time, the collections draw inspiration from global influences including antique textiles, Indian block-printing traditions, and decorative arts gathered through years of travel and study. Designs are never reproduced literally; instead, historic references are carefully reinterpreted for modern living, creating products that feel both familiar and fresh.

The brand has maintained an established network of respected multi-line showrooms across the United States for more than 15 years, creating long-standing relationships within the American design community and building a strong foundation across key design centres. As the company enters its next phase of growth, the focus is on expanding and deepening these existing relationships while continuing to grow engagement with interior designers throughout the US market.

This next stage represents a significant opportunity for the business. Penny Morrison combines the credibility and authenticity of an established British design house with the energy and ambition of a growing international brand. The company is investing heavily in market expansion, designer relationships, and long-term brand development across the United States.
