WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE:
The Sr. Design Consultant and Showroom Manager is a high-energy design and sales enthusiast who enjoys building relationships within the design industry and is responsible for the sales and oversight of the Dallas Showroom and its team, managing daily operations and assisting interior designers with trim selection.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage, motivate, train, and hold showroom staff accountable to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
• Build strong relationships with clients, offer expert trim and design advice in the showroom, and effectively resolve any concerns.
• Coordinate inside and outside sales efforts, stay informed about industry trends, and establish yourself as a market expert to achieve sales targets.
• Oversee order processing and shipment, manage inventory, maintain an organized and appealing showroom (including displays and samples), and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Control the showroom budget, track progress against financial goals, and provide regular performance reports to executive management.
• Oversee special client projects to ensure satisfaction and coordinate local sales promotions and events to increase showroom traffic.
• Effectively assign tasks to direct reports and ensure they are accountable for their responsibilities.
• Provide valuable insights on trim options, educate designers on their usage, and inspire them with creative design ideas and resources.
• Strive to exceed client expectations in the showroom and ensure a positive and helpful environment.
• Undertake other tasks as directed by senior management to support the overall success of the organization.
WHO YOU ARE:
• Minimum 2 years management experience and passionate proficiency in interior design
• Self-starter with a strong drive to push sales
• Highly organized, fast learner, excellent work ethic
• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Sales experience preferably in a showroom environment
