The Senior Designer holds a high level of responsibility and ownership over the projects they lead. This role is the creative and operational driver of our work, guiding each project’s interiors scheme from concept through completion. They take a proactive role in space planning, material selections, and the coordination of interior architecture, while overseeing the technical execution of the design package alongside Principals.
This role is on the front lines of client and contractor relationships for the duration of a project. It requires sound design judgment, excellent time management and prioritization, creative flexibility, and technical precision.

Lead the development and execution of high-end residential design projects from concept to completion.
Develop space plans, material palettes, and design concepts for client presentations.
Manage to project budgets, timelines, and procurement with precision and accountability.
Oversee selection and specification of FF&E.
Serve alongside Principals as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors on assigned projects.
Prepare and review construction documentation, RFQs, POs, and detailed drawings for custom millwork, furniture, and finishes.
Collaborate closely with Principals to ensure every project reflects AVI’s design standards and level of service.
Manage multiple active projects simultaneously while ensuring timely completion and adherence to studio standards.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design plans.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals involved in the design process.
Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
Minimum of 5 years experience in high-end residential design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; familiarity with Studio Designer preferred.
Strong understanding of construction documentation, custom millwork, and FF&E specification.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polished, client-facing presence.
Represent the AVI brand with professionalism and consistency at site meetings, installations, and trade walkthroughs.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects independently.
Implement effective time-management strategies to maintain organization and efficiency throughout the design process.
Must have a car and valid driver’s license.
Proactive communication skills, knowing when to ask questions and when to take the lead.
Strong knowledge of color theory, materials, and construction processes.
