The role is ideal for a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience, preferably in a high-end residential design studio, who is confident taking ownership of projects from concept through installation.
The successful candidate is highly organized, a self-starter, and a problem solver, comfortable managing multiple projects with limited guidance while collaborating closely with the Principal and studio team. Candidates must be based in the tri-state area, with travel to project sites and sourcing as needed.
Benefits: Healthcare, paid time off, Summer Fridays, and commuter benefits.

Prepare COIs and handle building alteration and decorating agreements
Create custom work orders for suppliers
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and building teams, including regular time on site
Experience
Minimum 3 years at an interior design firm
Degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field preferred

Rachel Laxer Interiors is a boutique interior design studio delivering full-scope residential projects from concept through installation, with work spanning New York, London, San Francisco, and Europe. Our practice covers interior architecture, custom furniture and millwork, FF&E procurement, and construction coordination for a private clientele who value discretion as much as design. Joining RLI means ownership of projects at a level of quality and complexity usually reserved for far larger firms.
