Warkentin Associates is seeking a full-time contracted position to join our growing team of experienced architects and designers. With projects across Los Angeles and New York, we are quickly expanding. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and creative individual to join in the continued development of the studio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Principal in oversight and collaboration across multiple design projects covering hospitality, commercial and residential
• Own specific work streams end to end within each project
• Collaborate seamlessly with design team, clients, architects, contractors, consultants and fabricators on multiple projects
• Responsible for material sourcing and specification, furniture sourcing, custom furniture design, visual research, graphic and visual
presentations and maintaining budgets and project timelines
• Collaborating with Principal and design team to prepare and review architectural drawings, renderings, presentations and construction
documents for submittal
• Design across on multiple, complex projects through all phases from concept through installation
• Ensure that all deliverables and communication upholds studio standards
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of three (3) years professional work experience in interiors or architecture, hospitality experience preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Adobe Creative Suite / SketchUp / Additional rendering programs a plus
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be extremely well organized, detail oriented and resourceful
• Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritize with minimal oversight
• Must be a US resident and located in Los Angeles
This is a full-time contracted position. The role is hybrid with in office days Tuesday to Thursday from 9:30a - 6:00p.
