Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our team—someone with the expertise, creativity, and leadership to oversee high-end residential projects from concept to completion. This role requires a hands-on, technically skilled designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is deeply engaged in every phase of the design process.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Independently lead and manage 4 - 6 luxury residential projects per year, overseeing all phases from inception through design development, construction documentation, and installation.
2. Guide and mentor junior and intermediate designers, fostering a collaborative and dynamic team.
3. Develop and present detailed design concepts, including sketches, 2D/3D elevations, AutoCAD drawings, and material boards.
4. Oversee custom construction details, coordinating with architects, builders, and artisans to ensure seamless execution.
5. Attend site meetings with contractors and trades, providing direction, problem-solving, and ensuring design intent is upheld.
6. Manage purchasing and logistics, including proposal development, procurement tracking, and vendor coordination to maintain budget and timeline integrity.
7. Source bespoke furnishings, antiques, and custom-designed pieces that align with our firm’s aesthetic and client vision.
8. Maintain and expand upon relationships with fabricators, artisans, and industry partners.
9. Stay informed on design trends, materials, and industry innovations to enhance project quality and creative development.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Expertise:
1. 3+ years of experience in high-end residential design.
2. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD with the ability to develop architectural plans and elevations.
3. Expertise in custom construction and the ability to confidently lead on-site meetings with contractors and trades.
4. A talent for storytelling through interiors, with a passion for curating homes that are meaningful and layered.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to work seamlessly with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
6. Experience with purchasing and logistics, ensuring projects stay on track from concept to installation.
7. A kind, patient, and flexible approach, with a solutions-driven mindset.
