Job Description

• Prepare floorplans and elevations in AutoCAD and 2D renderings that communicate design intent with detail.
• Lead the team with various design and administrative tasks on large, long-term residential and new construction/remodel projects from concept through installation.
• Maintain constant communication with Principal, design team, vendors and clients regarding project timelines and orders to assure on time completion.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills
• Participate in presentations to clients
• Create the design concept, under direction of the Principal, expediting, sourcing, creation of contracts and client communication, liaising with vendors throughout the ordering process and installing the project.
• Source and select appropriate finish materials, plumbing, lighting, and furnishings
• Draft, read, and interpret design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, and product specifications
• Ability to design and render custom millwork, cabinetry, furniture and fixtures
• Prepare detailed information and quotes for preparation of accurate design proposals. Create and prepare proposals for client submission.
• Demonstrate background of managing margins on a job level
• Prepare and submit purchase orders to vendors
• Contribute to the design team in preparation and maintenance of interior design plan documents such as finish schedules, specifications, templates and shop drawings
• Lead in the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures for interior spaces
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and works efficiently under pressure
• Communicate with contractors, coordinate & oversee installations
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at the same time and must be skilled in schedule management

Job Requirements

• A portfolio showcasing expertise in sophisticated, high-end design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in premium residential interior design.
• Ability to apply, and demonstrate design concepts, construction standards, and interior design principles/techniques to create cohesive and uniquely creative designs
• Extensive industry knowledge of materials, finishes, and custom and trade furnishings
• Must be energetic, proactive, detail oriented, very organized, positive, professional and able to work independently as well as collaborate with the team
• Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish while managing multiple deadlines
• Highly proficient, with ability to demonstrate, in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Canva
• Prior experience in Studio Designer, 3D rendering software and Asana is a plus

Our firm is hiring an interior designer who has a minimum of five years of experience in residential interior design. Must have a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects. The candidate will contribute to our team to design and manage custom build projects, large renovations as well as assist in developing full home interiors and furnishings from project conceptualization through installation.
