Melissa Lewis Interiors is a full-service interior design firm. We focus on high-end residential projects both here in Chicago as well as throughout the country. We are looking to add a creative, organized, enthusiastic and fun Designer/Project manager to join our design team! As an Interior Designer/Project Manager you will be involved in all aspects of a project from inception. You must be detail oriented as well as self-motivated and ready to jump in at any stage of the project. Fluency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Google Suites is a requirement, experience with Ivy Mark is a bonus.
Responsibilities
• Partner with Principal, other Designer/Project Managers and clients to ensure a smooth work flow
• Work with hired General and Sub-Contractors to execute construction aspects of renovations when needed on projects
• Source, create and manage purchasing and budgets of projects
• Pull together and execute large presentations both with Principal and clients
• Create and manage all drawings for projects
• Create schedules and manage overall project flow
• Pull together FFE palettes
• Work with Principal closely on pulling together overall project concepts and imagery
Key Qualifications + Skills
• 3-5 years minimum working in high end residential interior design
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suites
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Impeccable organizational and problem solving skills
• Ability to balance many moving parts at the same time while maintaining focus and composure
