The position involves contributing & managing the complex coordination, development & production of projects from concept design through construction administration, installation, & project handover. Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment & demonstrate a strong ability in the following:
• Able to lead/guide a team on all phases of a project (Architectural and Interior Design development)
• Able to manage multiple projects across the board, simultaneously
• Strong client facing capabilities
• Construction Documentation level drawing work, including highly articulate design detailing. Proficiency with traditional architectural vocabulary & the fundamentals of building construction and assembly
• Strong in vendor management; & coordination with extensive consultant team inclusive of MEP & Structural Engineers, Lighting Designers, Landscape Designers, etc.
• Comfortable presenting ideas - both internally and externally
You will contribute to the production, coordination & management of projects from design concept through construction administration. Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment & demonstrate a strong ability in the following:
• Clear communication & distribution of information within the team
• Maintain project directories
• Ability to collaborate with consultants & work on a project team.
• Design & Construction Documentation, (including design details). Proficiency with building systems & the fundamentals of building construction & assembly.
• Participate in the development of design concepts & presentation materials
• Schematic design presentations & architectural drawings sets
• Propose design solutions & carry these through all design phases
• Participate in development and maintenance of Project Schedules & Diff Docs
• Produce Sheets Index/Drawing Logs
• Researching materiality & building Architectural Schedules & Specifications
• Review Junior/Intermediate designer’s work, prior to VP
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 5-8 years of professional architectural experience
• Experience in Construction, Drawing details & interest in traditional design preferred
• Residential experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction methods
• Ability ot produce technical documentation (DD, CD/IDD)
• Fluency in AutoCAD
• Strong graphics and visual presentation skills.
• 3D modeling and rendering experience (Rhino, Revit) is a plus
• Dexterity with hand drawing: rendering capabilities is a plus
