About the Position
We are looking for a passionate, strategic, and professional Sales Representative to represent Made Goods to designers and retail partners, and Pigeon & Poodle for designers in New York. The territory includes Long Island, Westchester, Upstate and targeted accounts in NYC. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in outside sales in luxury home furnishings and strong and successful relationships with designers. The ideal candidate is driven, goal and solution-oriented, and provides excellent customer service.
Job Duties
• Meet or exceed sales goals (through monthly/quarterly/annual targets) established by the Directors of Sales – Made Goods and Pigeon & Poodle
• Work with the sales leadership to represent the brand with needs at national sales meetings, tradeshows, and company events
• Manage and grow an existing book of designer and retail business, while also soliciting new business or identifying new market opportunities
• Collaborative mindset and ability to effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive sales
• Travel to Atlanta and High Point markets up to two times per year
Job Qualifications
• 5+ years of proven outside sales experience with specific, relevant background in the sales of high end luxury home furnishings business
• Existing relationships with New York customers, both in high-end retail and design, strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, MS Outlook)
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Must live in the New York territory, with the ability to visit all assigned accounts as-needed
• Demonstrated initiative and strategic decision making
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
This position is 100% commission based
