Holland & Sherry is in search of an aspiring rug salesperson to join our team in our New York. This is a full-time, in-person position based in our showroom within the Decoration & Design Building.
Our new team member must be personable, highly motivated, and capable of working efficiently on an individual and group level. Our company is rapidly expanding; creating exciting new opportunities for career growth. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of the design/sales industry while on a clear path to Senior Sales.
Responsibilities
• Upkeep and maintenance of Rug Showroom floor to ensure that displays are fresh and tidy
• Upkeep and maintenance of Rug Sample Department to ensure that it is well organized
• Labeling of new samples on an as-needed basis
• Regular inventory to ensure all samples are readily available to sales team
• Assisting Rug Specialists with all aspects of presenting including preparation, note-taking and follow up

• Assisting Rug Specialists with order entry, focusing on custom order entry

• Assisting clients on showroom floor when Rug Specialist is not available

• Internal correspondence with product managers

• Internal correspondence with clients via email as needed. Professional email etiquette required.
