William McIntosh Design, Inc. seeks a Residential Interior Architect/Designer to join our design team. The Interior Architect/Designer will work directly with the principals and design team in developing, detailing, and producing our luxury, high-end residential projects. The position requires the candidate to be fluent in contemporary and traditional luxury residential renovations and construction drawings, detailing and site supervision as well as have excellent communications skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Produce technical and construction documentation (plans, elevations, architectural/millwork details and custom furniture drawings) that illustrate the design intent and use of materials for residential projects.
• Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction.
• Review shop drawings.
• Develop Architectural layouts, finish packages, and concept/mood strategies; and successfully implement them from concept phase through project execution.
• Identify, select, and specify Architectural products and vendors. Coordinate with same.
• Work closely with internal design team to manage and coordinate architectural design with interior design FF&E (lead times, budgets, quantities, and finishes).
• Work with consultants, contractors, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
• Interface directly with clients to facilitate the project objectives.

8+ years’ experience to include -
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Architecture
• Fluent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Revit
• Produce CAD renderings of custom furnishings and interior spaces.
• Strong understanding of Architectural project development and process
• High End Residential design experience
• Experience working with contractors
• Extremely detail oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
