We are seeking an immediate full time, freelance Project Manager/Interior Designer to work closely with the Principal for hybrid in office/remote work for a high-end boutique residential interior design studio based in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate must be able to take a project from concept to installation: crafting proposals, creating purchase orders, sourcing, custom furnishings, procurement, tracking and storing items. This position requires a minimum of 4+ years experience in the interior design industry and a degree in Interior Design from an accredited university. This is a role requiring daily communications with the design team, clients, and vendors, critical thinking, and creative problem solving. Applicants need to be personable, highly organized, self-motivated with exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Looking for someone reliable, professional, positive and enthusiastic that is able to interact directly with clients.
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience in project management or an adjacent role
- Interior design firm experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of design resources and vendors preferred
- Strong G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) skills
- Manage clients’ files, spreadsheets etc in an organized manner.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize/multitask to adhere to project schedules
- The ability to self-manage
- Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
- AutoCAD skills a plus but not required
- Ability to work as a team and help facilitate a positive working environment
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- A service-oriented and positive attitude
