Position Overview:
The Production Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end execution of customer orders. This includes creating FFE schedules, pricing, and submitting orders, managing international production timelines, coordinating logistics, and maintaining quality control. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, familiarity with international manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage complex projects across teams and time zones along with pricing and negotiating with international factories.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete fulfillment lifecycle of all furniture, rug, lighting, and tile orders.
• Create detailed FFE (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) schedules for each project.
• Price out all custom and standard products and prepare order submissions.
• Communicate and follow up with overseas manufacturing teams on production statuses and timelines.
• Plan and schedule container shipments throughout the calendar year to optimize logistics and delivery.
• Host and lead weekly status meetings with overseas partners to ensure smooth and timely execution.
• Manage the distribution and review process of shop drawings between the overseas production team and customers.
• Coordinate quality control inspections and ensure completed products are professionally photographed before shipment.
• Oversee the safe and timely delivery of all goods to our U.S. warehouse.
• Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Travel internationally 2–4 times a year to visit production facilities and oversee key phases of manufacturing or shipping.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS or equivalent experience
• Design background or understanding of product design/interior design
• Minimum 4-5 years professional experience in production management or supply chain roles within the furniture, design, or luxury home goods industries
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and across time zones
• Proven experience with FF&E processes, including creating detailed schedules and tracking orders
• Working knowledge of shipping logistics, including container scheduling and customs clearance processes
• Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for quality control, shop drawings, and production specifications
• Ability to analyze costs and pricing, and prepare clear, accurate order documentation
• Leading weekly cross-functional meetings with international partners and teams
