Job Description

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE:

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing revenue within the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and N. Louisiana territory by maintaining relationships, expanding opportunities with existing customers, and by developing business with prospective clients.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and develop existing client relationships and business
• Proactively seek new sales opportunities by networking and calling on prospective clients weekly
• Showcase new collections through in person presentations, virtual presentations, and email
• Respond to client inquiries regarding product information, scheming, quotes, and sample requests
• Build and place sample book orders for client libraries
• Educate designers on uses of trim and inspire them with schemes, social media, install photos, etc.
• Participate in territory trade shows, trunk shows
• Maintain and seek potential agent showrooms in major cities. Train staff, and provide necessary signage, display, and books
• Proactively seek and grow hospitality accounts
• Be a market expert. Current with interior design trends, the players in the industry, projects in your designated territory, and industry events, visit local showcase houses, etc.
• Successfully maintain a full calendar of presentations including 50% road travel
• Manage a monthly travel and entertainment budget
• Responsible for meeting sales quotas and territory goals
• Assist in the Dallas showroom in absence of the Design Consultant or Showroom Manager
• All other duties as assigned by Senior Management

Job Requirements

WHO YOU ARE:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Regional sales experience in the interior design industry preferred
• Outside sales experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills, problem-solving and presentation skills
• Excellent communication with strong verbal and interpersonal skills
• Interest in interior design and textiles
• High level of energy, must be multitask oriented with the ability to work in fast paced setting
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
• Valid Driver’s License required
