Job Description

The Hudson Company, a custom wood flooring mill, is hiring a seasoned professional to join our New York City showroom sales team. Clients include The Whitney Museum, 1 Hotel, Rag & Bone, AESOP, and private residences across the country.

Responsibilities of the position include:
- Support Architecture, Interior Design, and Consumer clients in the selection of wood flooring, paneling, and beams.
- Prepare quotes, sales orders, and provide support throughout the life of a client’s project.
- Manage and support existing clients. Proactively develop new client relationships.
- Offer material presentations to Architecture & Interior Design firms.
- Maintain a pristine showroom environment and display.
- Maintain an extensive showroom sample library, package, and ship samples to clients.

Job Requirements

- 5+ years professional experience in Home Furnishing Sales and/or Project Management. Experience in Luxury Sales a plus, especially with residential design trade (Architecture & Interior Design). Wood Flooring experience preferred but not required.
- Possess strong professional communication skills in all areas of client interaction: in-person, on the telephone, and in writing.
- Possess a high degree of organization and the ability to oversee projects with an extended life cycle.
- Passion for design, interiors, and client services.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a sales team to meet or exceed targeted goals.
- Enthusiasm for a growing company.
