Job Description

Position Summary:

The NYC Showroom Sales Assistant supports all aspects of the A & D sales strategy as well as the day-to-day operations of the company’s flagship showroom. Reporting to the NY Showroom manager and working in partnership across departments, the NYC Showroom Assistant will be responsible for multiple simultaneous projects and executing a variety of support services across the NYC Leadership Team.

Major Duties:

Support the overall Sales and Marketing initiatives of the NYC / Tri-state A&D Leadership Team in achieving sales targets and new customer acquisition goals.
 Support the Leadership Team in implementing project plans in accordance with the client’s needs beginning with quote generation, order execution, and completion through to delivery.
 Assist Sales Leadership in the cross-functional collaboration with Brown Jordan internal departments to include Sales, IT, Finance, Customer Service, etc.
 The NYC Showroom Sales Assistant will learn to manage and track the quoting process and active prospect account list in conjunction with marketing.
 Greet clients and assist them on the floor as needed.

 Responsible for supporting NYC Showroom Manager in the successful day-to-day operations and maintenance of the showroom.
 Maintain and assist in ordering inventory for marketing collateral, material samples and office supplies.
 Greet and assist clients as needed.
 Assist in maintaining all aspects of the showroom, including visual standards, merchandising and showroom installations.
 Help coordinate special events.
 Other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
 Previous experience with luxury products is a plus.
 Highly organized and detail-oriented.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
 Self-motivated with a sense of urgency to assist the sales team as needed.
 Skilled at graciously answering phones and greeting visitors.
 Office administration experience is a plus.
 Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), knowledge of CRM systems preferred.

Environmental/Physical Demands:

 Office environment; no specific or unusual environmental or physical demands.
 Full Time position. Days of work Monday through Friday.
 Physical demand: the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
