We are looking for an experienced interior designer to join our amazing team. Our firm is a high-end residential design boutique that specializes in custom new builds and luxury whole-home furnishing projects. Our process is streamlined, our job sites organized, and our client experience excellent. We’re a team that values creativity, humor, sincerity, and a drama-free vibe.
You will create, manage, and implement every step of client projects under the direction of our Principal Designer. You will meet with clients, work with vendors and contractors, collaborate with other designers on the team, and coordinate with various BDS teams to make everything come together. Our collaborative environment and extreme attention to detail is what pushes our designs to the next level.

As a boutique firm, wearing many hats is part of the gig and so the ability to roll up your sleeves and help in all areas to get the job done is part of the job.
Includes, but not limited to:
Plan and manage projects including pre-design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and administration.
Manage communications and coordination between BDS and its clients, contractors and vendors
Lead the coordination and production of technical drawings, which include documentation sets, material schedules, and budgets
Demonstrate understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts
Prepare floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design drawings, furniture layouts
Approve orders and oversee installations and deliveries
Physical work (such as moving small furniture, carrying accessories, etc.) will occasionally be required
Manage and mentor junior team members
3-5 years of professional interior design experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Chief Architect and Adobe Suite; SketchUp is a plus
Understanding of furniture, millwork, and cabinetry construction, detailing, and related shop drawing review process
Knowledge in building construction, techniques and materials
Knowledge of Houzz Pro, Ivy, Photoshop & Asana a bonus
Strong knowledge of trade sources and experience with high-end residential custom furniture, fabrics, finishes, and decorative items
Great communication skills and experience consulting directly with clients
Strong leadership and self-motivation with great multi-tasking skills
Responsible & flexible with a killer work ethic and sound judgement
Friendly & engaging personality (great attitudes, no egos)
College degree required
Must be able to bring own laptop to work
Strong research, writing, organizational and grammar skills
Loves to work in a digital environment
