The Junior Residential Interior Designer will collaborate closely with Senior Designer and Principal on management and execution of large scale, bespoke residential interior design projects. In additional to local commissions, the firm is currently engaged on projects in New York, New England, Montana and California.

• Assist on all phases of residential projects from initial construction to installation of interiors; including client relations, working with Senior Designer and Principal overseeing concept and design development, construction management, procurement, invoicing and installation.

• Responsible for compiling and maintaining comprehensive FF&E specifications for lighting, millwork (finish and paint), plumbing, stone and tile, and hardware schedules with Senior Designer. Includes execution of orders with workrooms, vendors and subcontractors.

• Ability to provide drawings and comprehensive specification information to applicable parties to ensure proper execution of design concepts in the field.

• Maintain interiors AutoCAD drawing sets including furniture and lighting plans, elevations, tile and stone layouts, and millwork details.

• Development of custom furniture, furnishings, and lighting.

• Ability to maintain budget/cost and oversee logistics to ensure timely completion and delivery to site in coordination with client’s expectations.

• Assist Senior Designer and Principal in sourcing antiques, new furnishings and other resources.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in residential interior design or architecture firm, directly managing client projects.
• 4 year Undergraduate Degree or Master’s in Interior Design or Architecture Preferred
• Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD required; manual drafting skills a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum).
• Familiarity with Project Management Software. Proficiency in Design Manager a plus.
• Presentation and graphic design skills a plus, including proficiency in SketchUp, Photoshop and 3D Rendering Software.
• Strong Communication, Organization and Problem Solving Skills
• Works well in fast paced environment; able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Job requires ability to follow through on multiple projects, both short-term and long-term.
• Potential for Travel to Site Locations.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and Access to a Vehicle as Needed.
• Sense of Humor and Desire to Work in Supportive, Collaborative Fashion.
