Working with the Principal Designer at Shalena Smith Interiors in Porter Ranch, CA. The Junior Designer acts as administrative and design support on all phases of high-end, residential interior design projects. This is a part time position (30 hours with potential for growth) that requires 2-3 years experience in similar role, knowledge of interior design and a strong ability to organize information, manage time and documentation, and follow through on assignments under pressure deadlines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to: (IN OFFICE POSITION- DO NOT APPLY FOR REMOTE WORK)
• Assist the Principal Designer with various design and administrative tasks related to all phases of luxury residential design from initial on-boarding through project completion.
• Gather detailed information, finish samples, specifications and quotes for preparation accurate design proposals including occasional sample and material pick ups
• Assist with product sourcing
• Assist with preparing client presentations
• Point of contact communications for clients and contractors
• Maintain project information such as orders, quotes, and any other client related information.
• Ability to lift small to medium items up to 25 lbs.
• Use of SketchUp
• Use of computer programs such as Canva, Google WorkSpace, Microsoft, Adobe, Design Files, and various Mac Applications
