Peter Pennoyer Architects is seeking a Junior Designer to join our Interior Design team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about design, has a strong work ethic and has excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities include:
• Assist on various projects, as directed by the Director of Interior Design and/ or Project Manager: conceptual sketches, sourcing, vendor options, materials, colors, furniture plans and elevations
• Assist in requesting quotes from vendors
• Assist in establishing and recording specifications
• Take notes, measurements, photos and record details at meetings
• Act as secondary vendor liaison on assigned projects
• Work with vendors on all aspects sourcing, quoting, specifying and pricing, as directed by Project Manager
• Assist in ensuring accurate incoming and outgoing information to and from the vendors, including, but not limited to, project deadlines, specifications and estimates
• Manage all design department document filing and binder upkeep
• Update and maintain resource library
• Run vendor related errands and provide general assistance to teams

Job Requirements

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in interior design
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in high-end residential interior design
• Software proficiency in Design Manager or similar software
• 1-2 years of professional experience in AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel & Word specifically)
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign & Photoshop specifically)
• Revit and Sketchup skills are a plus
• knowledge of reading architectural and furniture plans and elevations
• Ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and in a team setting
• Must be comfortable making material suggestions
• Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally
