Regas Interiors is seeking an experience Junior Designer to join our high-performing team in our studios located on the 5th floor of ADAC. This position will play a key role in the life of a project. The ideal candidate should have a passion for design, excellent technical skills in SketchUp, is able to handle multiple projects at one time and is detail oriented. Must also be a contributing member to a team environment.
Responsibilites:
-Assist lead designer in creating site surveys, taking accurate measurements, and documenting existing surroundings
-Assist lead designer in design concepts and producing detailed drawings using SketchUp. Specifically, the junior designer will be assisting in all construction drawings, interior elevations, custom millwork details, tile layouts and all other architectural details relevant to custom new builds
-Maintaining a high level of detail related to the construction process
-Contributing to sourcing materials, furniture and fixtures when time allows
-Request quotes from vendors and managing items by entering into Studio Designer
-Prepare for and attend client meetings when appropriate
-Create and maintain all schedules for new build purposes (lighting, paint, hardware, tile)
-Ensure that drawings for active projects remain current based on site revisions and/or site conditions during construction
Job Requirements
-Graduate degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design
-Two to three years of experience with SketchUp to produce construction drawings for residential new build projects
-Exceptional organizations skills and time management skills
-Ability to work on multiple projects at once and shift between projects as needed
-Excellent communication skils, both verbal and written
-Must be able to collaborate and thrive in a team environment
-Experience in Studio Designer
-Experience in Asana a plus
