Job Description

Design
Act as a member of the project design team supporting Principals, Directors, and Project managers
Create presentations with drawings/renderings for development of design for meetings with clients
Research and develop furniture plans, custom furnishing designs, and material schemes that match the client’s aesthetic, functional goals, and budget
Assist Senior Designers on the design and development of all projects; create drawings, boards, fabric schemes, and any relevant items for client presentations
Research and source furniture, lighting, fabrics, wallpapers, and interior finishes within project budget, parameters, and aesthetic
Manage item specifications and Construction Schedules with accurate product information for all furniture, plumbing, appliances, lighting, and finishes
Coordinate vendor and installer site visits, workroom visits, and in-person meetings to ensure successful project deliverables
Ensure the project file is updated with relevant photos, presentations

Project Administration:
Help set up and attend client meetings and presentations and take notes/record minutes as delegated by a Senior Designer or Principal
Keep projects organized and up to date in Style Row

Oversee Procurement Coordinator during the purchasing process, providing clear direction and delegating tasks as needed
Preparation of project specification binders/bins for jobs
Ordering of materials, fixtures, and furnishings and tracking of orders
Maintain budgets and accurately track retainer balances. Work with project managers and Director - Operations to request retainers, approve reimbursable invoices, and reconcile budget
Quote/pricing follow up
Problem solves and resolves any issues with orders or design plans, escalating to project managers when appropriate
Assist at project surveys

Job Requirements

- Degree in Interior Design
- Minimum 3 years experience as an interior designer
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including space planning, and digital drafting Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Indesign, Microsoft Office Suite
- Work under pressure, exhibit creative problem solving, produce deliverables, and meet deadlines
- Office hours are 9am to 6pm, but please expect an occasional late evening or early morning to help set up for presentations.
- Pay Rate: $65,000 - $75,000 plus bi-annual bonuses based on performance. Commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: 15 days of Paid Time Off annually (inclusive of sick days) plus the office is closed between Christmas and New Year’s; access, with contributions, to company Medical Insurance, Dental and Vision Insurance, and 401k. Commuter benefits. Summer Fridays.
