The Interior Designer will have a passion for interior design and decorating, and a deep understanding of the design process, including color, textiles and materials, vintage and bespoke furniture, lighting and specifications as well as extensive knowledge of historical styles paired with local and international influences. The Interior Designer will work alongside the principal to develop contextually- and historically appropriate design solutions.
Responsibilities:
-Manage multiple interior design projects with assistant from start to completion
-Design and oversee concept through furniture, lighting, and material/fabric and finish selections
-Create presentation and mood boards, renderings, and mock-ups
-Obtain quotes, purchase orders and invoices
-Maintain budgets and purchase registers for projects of 500K- 2M
-Write FFE specs
-Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and consultants effectively and efficiently, maintaining strong communication throughout the process to completion
-Create and review CAD furniture plans and bespoke furniture drawings, etc.
-Oversee shipping, storage, delivery, installation of items and site visits
Requirements:
-Interior design degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
-Significant high end residential experience with contemporary, multi-cultural, interiors that include vintage and period furnishings and details in contemporary contexts and spaces
-Experience with custom- bespoke furniture
-Excellent presentation skills and relationship building skills; ability to interact with clients and manage expectations
-Proficiency with AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe and Microsoft Suite, Rhino or a plus.
