NYC Senior Sales Representative
Company: John Pomp Studios
Duration: Full-time
Date Posted: 06/08/26
Category: Sales & Marketing
Location: New York
Salary: 50-100k
Job Description

At John Pomp Studios, we build things that last, and we work with people who do too. This is more than a sales position- it's a chance to represent a studio that designs sculptural, hand-crafted furniture and lighting from our Philadelphia workshop, and to bring that story to life for the architects, designers, and tastemakers who shape New York's designed environments.

As our Senior Sales Representative at the New York Design Center showroom, you will own the full client relationship — from first introduction to final delivery. You'll build and manage a pipeline of A&D trade clients, serve as the face of John Pomp in the NY market, and bring genuine passion to every conversation about the work we make.

Role + Responsibilities
– Drive business growth by cultivating a strong pipeline of interior designers, architects, and developers. Leveraging your existing A&D network and expanding it through purposeful outreach across NYC.
– Lead proactive outside sales: organizing design firm presentations, studio appointments, and sample drops that create real relationships, not just transactions.
– Serve as a brand ambassador who knows our collections inside out, educating clients through on-brand storytelling and positioning John Pomp as their go-to design partner.
– Maintain the showroom at the highest standard of presentation, ensuring every client visit feels like a fully considered brand experience.
– Manage the full order lifecycle through our CRM with accuracy and care, keeping clients proactively informed at every stage.
– Collaborate with leadership and marketing on events that deepen community and reinforce our presence in the market.
– Attend after-hours networking events and client dinners as an authentic representative of who we are, not just what we sell.

Job Requirements

Skills matter, but so does character.. Here's what we're looking for in both:

Experience & Skills
– 5+ years of professional experience in luxury design sales, with a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding targets in a design-driven environment.
– An established book of business within the A&D community.
– Polished presentation skills and a client-first approach that instinctively puts the relationship before the transaction.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you're clear, honest, and thoughtful in every interaction.
– High-level organization and time management.
– Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
– Bachelor's degree required.

Values Alignment
Our core values show up in how we work every day, and we're looking for someone who works the same. At John Pomp Studios, we believe in:

– Responsibility - Own it completely, or don't claim it at all.
– Initiative - We make it happen.
– Passion - We don't just design, we tell a story.
– Commitment - We finish what we start.
– Positive Attitude - We keep a glass half full mentality.
– Work Ethic - You get out what you put in, we put in everything.
– Communication - The best relationships are built on honesty.
– Adaptability - Rigidity doesn't build things worth keeping.
– Humility - The best in the room still has something to learn.

This is a career-focused opportunity with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including PTO, 401(k), and health insurance.

About our Company

John Pomp is a design-driven artisan manufacturer focused on creating abstracted organic works of furniture and lighting. Inspired by elemental materials in transitory states and informed by almost otherworldly natural phenomena, John Pomp’s work combines molten glass, warped metal, and refracted light to create imaginative, organic forms. Led by designer, artist, and glassblower John Pomp with his partner Anne, a team of over 50 creatives design and make each piece from concept to completion in-house. With a sculptural, experimental approach to design, the work develops through a non-linear process explored through various methods, including abstract glass studies, organic form generating, and process discovery. This approach leads to a designed process rather than a product. Each piece is made from scratch in their 65,000 sqft Philadelphia studio using a combination of modern techniques and old-world craftsmanship.
