Anna Knight Interiors is a high-end residential design boutique that breathes new life into historic homes and crafts custom new builds, luxury whole-home furnishing projects, and spaces with elevated details and timeless charm. Your Role
We’re looking for an experienced Interior Designer to take projects from concept to completion with precision and killer style.

Responsibilities:
Own the Process: Together with the Principal, lead design development and project management on high-end residential renovations, full-home furnishing projects, and custom new construction.

CAD Expertise: Create innovative, functional space plans, beautiful elevations, and precise shop drawings (for custom furniture, millwork). Able to produce full interior drawing sets when needed. (SketchUp or other 3D skills are a bonus but not necessary.)

Client Presentations: Craft clear and cohesive presentations that compellingly convey design intent, including digital mood boards and material flat lays. Must be proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Project Oversight: Manage priorities, budgets, timelines, and schedules—ensuring our designs are executed flawlessly, both on paper and on-site.

Clear Communication: Keep lines open with team members, clients, vendors, and tradespeople through in-person interactions and concise, professional emails.

Job Requirements

About You
You live and breathe design, constantly training your eye and analyzing trends. Your Instagram is a curated gallery of inspiration, and your attention to detail is unmatched. You glide seamlessly from initial sketches to polished construction documents, juggling multiple projects without missing a beat. Your design intuition pairs with a practical mindset, making you both a creative force and a reliable problem-solver and advocate for our clients.

Requirements
Experience: 4-5+ years in high-end residential design.

Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Adobe Suites. Bonus points for SketchUp, Revit, or Chief; comfort with Studio Designer is strongly preferred.

Attention to Detail: You love double-checking your work and sleep easy knowing every detail is perfect.

Product Knowledge: Experience sourcing and specifying luxury residential FF&E.

Attitude: A collaborative, positive, no-drama approach paired with professionalism when working with high-end clients.

Logistics: Must reside in Chicagoland, hold a valid driver’s license, and have access to a reliable car.

Hands-On: Comfortable rolling up your sleeves during installations and sourcing trips as needed.
