Job Description

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
o Spearhead projects from the conceptual design phase through final execution, while acting as the main point of contact with clients and all necessary trades
o Collaborate with the principal on the overall vision of each assigned project
o Prepare client presentations with creative sourcing and advanced visualization techniques
o Provide design leadership with the team, including the ability to evaluate design options based on client-driven criteria and feedback
o Collaborate seamlessly with clients, as well as other contractors, architects, fabricators, artisans, and developers on multiple projects
o Attend, document, and distribute meeting minutes for client and/or site meetings
o Field surveying existing site conditions and existing client furnishings
o Work closely with the team to deliver beautiful spaces with a high level of service required by our clients
o Responsible for material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, furniture sourcing, research, technical solutions, graphic and visual presentations, in addition to building budgets and project timelines
o Creating project documents including the submission of a full drawing set, specification writing, schedules, and construction administration
o Assist with project installations, final punch lists, and photoshoots

Job Requirements

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
o Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in interior design or architectural design
o Degree from an accredited school
o An eye for detail, creative-thinking for design challenges, a problem-solver
o Eclectic, artful taste
o Experience executing the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Sourcing, Procurement, and Installation
o High proficiency in AutoCad, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), SketchUp, Asana, and Google Suite
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible working style and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the principal and design team
o Experience working with high profile clientele
o Sharp problem-solving, analytic, and organizational skills
o High-level of integrity and dependability
o Detail oriented and extremely organized
o Ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
o Confident, proactive, able to anticipate the next steps forward
o Advance knowledge of design principles, aesthetics, and design history
o Hand-sketching skills is a plus
o A problem-solver and proactive do-er
o Proven ability to see a task through to completion
o Positive, energetic energy (we have fun!)
o Ability to work in person in Los Angeles
