Job Description

Responsibilities

Sales & Biz Development

Conduct cold and warm outreach by phone, email, and in person to property managers and Condo/Co-op Board members.
Customize and send marketing emails to support client cultivation, including selecting images and brochures from our marketing library and performing light layout or content customization (Canva as needed).
Research and identify new contacts through internet research (LinkedIn, Apollo) as well as through cold calling efforts
Build and manage a robust prospect pipeline.
Network at industry events, expos, and trade shows
Host ALine-sponsored social events (happy hours, meet-and-greets, etc.)
Travel throughout NYC and periodically to South Florida for relationship building and business development.
Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
Perform consistent follow-ups across all lead stages.
Attend pitch meetings alongside Principals.
Assist in preparing presentation and pitch materials.
Collaborate with leadership on pitch strategies and provide input to improve close rates.
Establish and nurture connections with prospects through LinkedIn and other social media platforms to build trust and long-term relationships.
Stay current on industry trends and develop deep expertise in ALine’s materials, performance standards, applications, and value propositions.
Build a comprehensive understanding of ALine’s portfolio, practice areas, and capabilities to inform pursuit strategy and storytelling

CRM

Maintain accurate, complete CRM records in Microsoft Dynamics, documenting all outreach and activity, including emails, phone calls, site visits, networking conversations, pitch presentations, and lead updates.
Track and advance all opportunities through clearly defined sales stages from cold outreach to awarded projects.
Maintain close-probability assessments, projected timelines, estimated values, and revenue forecasts.
Tag and categorize contacts for targeted marketing campaigns and outreach efforts.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

5+ years of outbound sales/business development experience in interior design, A/E/C, or furnishings showroom environment.
Demonstrated experience leading or supporting business development strategies—from early-stage opportunity tracking through proposal submission and pitch preparation
Bring a powerful, assertive sales personality that applies urgency, challenges inertia, and drives conversations toward commitment.
Demonstrate relentless persistence and objection-handling strength to convert resistance into progress across extended sales timelines.
Operate with high-pressure initiative — proactively reaching out, creating engagement, and refusing to let viable leads go cold.
Incredible phone skills
Proven success in closing relationship-based deals.
Strong knowledge of NYC interior design, real estate, and neighborhoods
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with excellent CRM discipline.
Confident presenter
Executive presence
Open to continuous growth and evolution — receptive to coaching, feedback, and changes in strategy
Ability to travel frequently throughout NYC and periodically to South Florida.
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields).

Preferred Software Experience

CRM platforms (Dynamics, Salesforce, or equivalent)
Adobe InDesign is a plus
