Rachael Ruddick Studio is seeking an Interior Architect to support the technical development and delivery of beautifully crafted interiors. This role is ideal for someone who loves the balance of design and precision—translating creative concepts into clear, buildable documentation and collaborating closely with consultants, contractors, and fabricators to bring spaces to life.
You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, contributing to planning, drawings, detailing, coordination, and site delivery—ensuring every detail is considered and every decision supports the overall design intent.
Technical Design & Documentation
Develop detailed drawing packages: plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, and interior details
Produce construction-ready documentation for interior architecture scope
Coordinate dimensions, clearances, and buildability across the design
Maintain drawing standards and ensure documentation is accurate and consistent
Coordination & Delivery
Coordinate with architects, engineers, lighting designers, and specialist consultants
Review shop drawings and submittals, and support responses to RFIs
Attend site meetings, conduct site visits, and assist with construction administration
Liaise with fabricators and trades to ensure custom details are executed as intended
Design Support
Support design development through space planning and layout refinement
Contribute to material and joinery detailing with a strong eye for proportion and finish
Assist with schedules (finishes, joinery, fixtures) and project documentation
Skills & Experience
Degree in Interior Architecture / Architecture (or equivalent experience)
Strong experience in construction documentation and detailing
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit (plus strong drawing organization)
Excellent understanding of interior build-ups, joinery, and coordination
Confident communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
