Job Description

As the Design & Office Assistant at KKB Interiors, you will support the design team in both creative and administrative tasks throughout all project phases, from design development to installation. You will manage administrative operations, including bookkeeping, project ordering and tracking, scheduling, and maintaining project samples and the sample library. Additionally, you will assist in developing design concepts based on the Principal’s vision and collaborate with clients, vendors, architects, contractors, and artisans. The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers hands-on experience in both the creative and operational aspects of a boutique interior design firm.

Responsibilities:
● Manage vendor communications, meeting coordination, customer service calls, credit card authorizations, and client binders (FF&E schedules, spec sheets, and project samples)
● Track orders, deliveries, returns, and exchanges, ensuring smooth procurement and installation
● Provide bookkeeping support, including classifying purchases, processing purchase orders and payments, preparing billing proposals, and resolving discrepancies
● Maintain and organize the sample library, requesting updated material catalogs from vendors
● Create and track client budget trackers for accurate financial documentation
● Assist with sample pick-ups and off-site tasks as needed
● Support the design team with visual research, sourcing, and presentation development
● Obtain quotes, pricing, and lead times for proposals, schedules, and estimated budgets
● Assist with floor plans, elevations in AutoCAD, and 3D renderings for client presentations and millwork sets
● Attend onsite meetings with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, documenting key updates

Job Requirements

● 1+ years of experience in design and a degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
● Proficiency in AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, Google Workspace and
Microsoft Office Suite; 3D modeling and rendering experience is preferred
● Working knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction
Documentation and Administration, Procurement, and Installation
● Experience balancing design sensitivity, technical knowledge and project management skills, with the ability to
work independently, drive multiple projects at a time and proactively anticipate team and project needs
● Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills with an ability to adapt to the daily needs of
the design team
