We are looking for a high-end customer service individual to liaise with rug sales team. Our company specializes in hand-made rugs sourced by top Interior Designers and Architects across the US and abroad. This position is based in our showroom in the D&D Building in New York.
This person should be creative, organized, dynamic, with meticulous follow-up.
We require a great communicator as this role involves working between the MP team, customers, and manufacturers.
It is essential to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is paramount for overseeing orders from conception to delivery, achieving customer satisfaction.
To be successful in the role you should be able to work independently and within a team.
Having a sense of color, understanding of textiles and the different weave constructions of rugs is highly desired but not essential. Candidates above all should have a passion for interiors and product design.
Responsibilities:
· Customer service: communications clients old and new, follow-up on new leads and thank you/check ins on previous clients
· Be able to see a complex project through from start to finish. Handling every aspect of the custom order process by liaising between the client and mill
· Account Management and sales support, sales quotes, and order creation
· Placing orders and tracking production from start to finish
· Correspondence with vendors domestically and overseas regarding orders and shipments
· Be able to source new clients, and create presentations which builds strong client relationships within the design industry
· Administrative duties: scanning, filing, printing, emailing, DHL/UPS, answering of phones, and greeting clients

· Punctual with ability to prioritize daily activities of phone calls, emails, and appointments to maximize time efficiency
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and competency with Mac OS and CRM systems
