Busy interior design studio is in need of a custom furniture specialist to help push along a number of pressing projects. The job would require frequent workroom visits, tracking orders, confirming dimensions, organizing fabric shipments, etc. The key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Identifying and working with vendors to secure the best possible pricing and quality for FF&E items.
- Creating and tracking purchase orders.
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely delivery of goods.
- Preparing and managing FF&E budgets.
- Ensuring adherence to project financial constraints.
- Reviewing and producing detailed documentation, drawings, and specifications for FF&E items.
- Working closely with designers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and successful installation of FF&E.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to facilitate efficient procurement and negotiation.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles and processes.
- Experience with procurement software and tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with construction timelines and project management workflows.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Candidate must be either a U.S. citizen or have a valid employment visa to work in the U.S. and be presently located in the New York City area.
