Job Description

Beni Rugs is looking for a Trade Sales Director. You have a genuine interest in interior design and knowledge and experience in the industry. You have a passion for and experience in sales and customer experience, and know how to find new customers, create loyal customers and forge authentic relationships. You are extremely organized, resourceful, and self-motivated.

Summary:

You will take an active role in growing our trade sales program. You will build our network of trade clients by identifying and communicating with potential clients, providing exceptional experiences to our existing clients, and by communicating our brand values from sale to delivery. You will also manage post-purchase support in partnership with our team, with the aim of creating a frictionless, exceptional experience that encourages repeat business, loyalty, and promotion of the Beni brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement trade sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow the business

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners, including interior designers, architects, and contract partners.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the trade channel

• Carefully and efficiently organize and streamline our database of existing and potential clients

• Work closely with the customer service team to ensure exceptional service to trade partners

• Collaborate with the marketing team and founders to create targeted marketing campaigns for the trade channel

• Analyze sales data and provide insights to inform sales strategies

• Attend trade shows, activations, and events to promote our brand and build relationships with trade partners

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in trade sales, preferably in the home decor or rug industry

• Proven track record of driving sales growth in the trade channel

• Strong relationships with trade partners, including interior designers, architects, and contractors

• You are self-motivated and passionate about working in a young company where you can make an immediate and significant impact

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data

• Experience with CRM software and sales tools

• You love hospitality and creating customer-centric experiences and environments

• You have a passion for beauty, and for the impact of well-designed spaces on our lives

• Bachelor's degree

Beni Rugs are the NYC and Morocco based makers of customizable rugs that blend modern design with ancient handwoven craft. Launched in 2018, co-founders Robert Wright and Tiberio Lobo-Navia began by reimagining the experience of buying a Moroccan rug online, and today are transforming how the rugs are made at the Beni Workshop outside of Marrakech. Here, at the first vertically integrated production facility of its kind in Morocco, rugs are designed, hand-made by a team of weavers, and sold under one roof.
