The Director Graphic Design (DGD) shall be responsible for all graphics required by the company. These designs may include product renderings, photoshopping photographs, web page and social media content, development of catalogs, advertising pieces, and all business collateral. The DGD is also responsible for managing the Graphic Design staff and consultants as may be needed.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The DGD’s specific duties include the following:
1. Graphic Design of NIBA rugs, Marketing and Sales Collateral, Promotional pieces
a) Manage the graphic department’s resources to produce renderings for Projects (from information provided by sales staff) within 48 hours as a standard; however, there may be times that the renderings have to be produced within 24 hours or less.
b) Manage and prioritize the graphics work log for all projects as they progress through to completion.
c) Coordinate timely delivery of projects/renderings with the appropriate parties
d) Support Contract and other Creative Designers by providing renderings in the specified formats for new designs and assist in design layout
e) Manage and coordinate the production of renderings using ADOBE Suite and Galaincha for renderings which are like blue prints for the rug’s construction as well as a photographic looking graphic of the rug.
f) Coordinate the development of new designs with accounting to assure that they are properly included in the “Item List” as required.
g) Monitor the production of and or produce tear sheets illustrating rugs that are both in-stock and manufactured/sold to clients.
h) Coordinate the work of any Design Graphic support staff that may be assigned from time to time as demand may require.
2. Web Site Maintenance and Graphic Design
a) Maintain graphics, photographic data, and videos that the company may require
b) Establish and maintain social media
c) Support/assist web site designers as needed by providing content
d) Upload graphic and photographic files to the web site as needed
e) Work closely with our web site designer to properly maintain and update the website
3. Design and Maintenance of Marketing Tools
a) Provide appropriate Marketing Data and Graphics for the Marketing I-Pads
b) Develop and update graphic and photographic files for Marketing Staff
c) Prepare camera ready layouts for Catalogs, Advertising and other PR materials
d) Maintain appropriate electronic filing system for all NIBA graphics, photography and video
e) Prepare graphics as needed for Signage, and all Business Collateral
4. Other duties that may be required by the CEO and President from time to time relating to graphic design.
