M + M Interior Design is looking for a Construction Coordinator who will work directly with the principals and design team in developing, detailing, and producing our luxury, high-end residential projects. The position requires the candidate to be fluent in traditional luxury residential renovations and construction drawings, detailing, and site supervision as well as have excellent communications skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction.
• Review shop drawings.
• Identify, select, and specify architectural products and vendors. Coordinate with same.
• Work closely with the internal design team to manage and coordinate lead times, budgets, quantities, and finishes.
• Manage, oversee, and distribute construction schedules.
• Work with consultants, contractors, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
• Interface directly with clients to facilitate the project objectives.
• Work from Chicago-area studio
• 5+ years’ experience to include -
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• Fluent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Suite, Revit, Adobe Suite, Google Sheets
• Strong understanding of architectural project development and process
• High-end residential design experience
• Experience working with contractors
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
