Job Description

Our textile studio seeks an organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated assistant to the director of textile production to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have production experience (2-3 years preferred) and have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Order-Track, and PDF Systems. Proficiency in Abobe Suite is a plus. This position will collaborate closely with the sales team, director of production, memo sample librarian, and outside manufacturers. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and commitment, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to solve problems proactively. This position is full-time and in-office at our workroom in downtown Los Angeles.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
• Work closely with principal designer on product development for new product launches including sampling, material sourcing and costing.
• Coordinate the timeline of new collection sampling and maintain its organization to facilitate smooth review with the principal designer.
• Monitor and adjust the collection launch budget as needed during the development process.
• Upon final approvals from the principal designer, generate purchase orders to mills for stock procurement.
• Assist the director of textile production in coordinating and scheduling production activities for new collection and re-stock orders to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Oversee the creation, tracking, and management of all sampling requests for showroom partners, including displays, memo samples, road kits, and any other sales tools requested.
• Develop and sustain comprehensive product information within software systems and across marketing materials.
• Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels across multiple warehouses using current systems.
• Maintain master sample library and update as necessary
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with other departments such as furniture department, sales and marketing teams.
• Conduct annual cost analyses and assessments of potential increases
• Perform other duties as assigned by the director of textile production to support the overall success of the department.
• Collaborate with warehouses to establish incoming inspection priority lists and adjust as required.
• Oversee quality control inspections at our Los Angeles based warehouse.

Job Qualifications
• Previous experience in a production environment, preferably in the textile industry.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
