For its latest partnership, online interior design service Laurel & Wolf joined with PBTeen on actress Yara Shahidi’s bedroom design. The brand had also previously designed the office of Cosmopolitan editor in chief Michele Promaulayko with Z Gallerie, and the living room of E! News host Catt Sadler with Portola Paints & Glazes.
“Once we knew we were working with Yara, it really seemed there was only one brand to go to for the partnership, and that was PBteen,” says Julie Geer, vice president of marketing at Laurel & Wolf. “As they are the teen brand within the home decor space, they were the perfect partner to collaborate with on Yara’s bedroom makeover. By providing fresh, fashionable options to appeal to varying teenage tastes, they truly had everything we needed to design Yara’s dream space.”
Shahidi is currently starring in the television show Black-ish and has plans to attend Harvard University. “Everything about me personally is so unique to who I am, and I wanted my room to reflect that,” she says. “To be able to design my room, I feel like it was a chance to finally have it become more of my space. I’m such a vivid person, and I wanted my space to match that.”
