Brooklyn-based designer Todd Bracher is designing “Das Haus—Interiors on Stage” for next month’s IMM Cologne furniture and design show in Germany. The annual installation is an immersive experience of a residential house, for which designers also choose all decor, including furniture, lighting and accessories.
“The home is an elementary synthesis of needs and functions that is very precisely directed toward supporting the people who live inside it in their daily lives and their growth,” says Bracher. “We want to question our conception of what makes contemporary living by rethinking the principles that define the home and asking ourselves if they meet the requirements of the world today.”
Das Haus 2017 will run January 16 to 22 at IMM Cologne.
