Housing Works will fete award-winning journalist Tamron Hall and John Demsey, executive group president of The Estée Lauder Companies, at its upcoming Groundbreaker Awards Dinner. The nonprofit, which provides supportive services and stable housing to the homeless and individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, will hold the annual dinner on April 26 at New York’s Metropolitan Pavilion.
Tamron Hall has been the host of Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall on Investigation Discovery since 2013, and has served on the NBC News team as a co-host of the third hour of TODAY. On MSNBC, she anchors NewsNation with Tamron Hall, and was the anchor of MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall.
Demsey oversees a wide portfolio of brands, including Clinique, M•A•C, Tom Ford Beauty, Jo Malone London, Smashbox, Prescriptives, Aramis & Designer Fragrances, Too Faced, Becca Cosmetics, By Kilian, GlamGlow, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, Le Labo, and Rodin Olio Lusso. He also serves as chairman of the M•A•C AIDS Fund, which has raised more than $450 million to date in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
“Housing Works is an organization with a vital mission of ending the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS,” says the nonprofit’s founding chair, James “Ford” Huniford. “There are many people who support this mission, and we want to make sure we celebrate those individuals. We are immensely grateful to Tamron and John for their contributions; their tremendous efforts will be recognized at the Groundbreaker Awards Dinner on April 26.”
After the opening gala, Housing Works will host the three-day-long, 13th-annual DESIGN ON A DIME NYC benefit and sale at the Metropolitan Pavilion.
