On December 6, the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge NYC Holiday Bash will unveil an array of tablescapes at The Harmonie Club on the Upper East Side. The proceeds from the event will benefit Hope Lodge NYC, which is a flagship of 32 lodgings throughout the country that provide support and complimentary housing for those battling cancer while away from their homes.
Designer Guillaume Gentet, architect David G. Carpenter, and philanthropists Ron and Sandy Diamond are serving as co-chairs for the ninth annual event. This year’s tablescape theme is “Seasons of Hope,” reflecting on the journey of cancer patients. Event sponsors include Robert Allen (fabrics), Dawn Melanie Designs (flowers), Martin Albert Interiors (sewing and upholstery), and Generic Brand Human (photography and videography).
Says Cristina Cuomo, editor in chief of Modern Luxury Manhattan magazine, which is presenting the event: “We are delighted to support such a wonderful cause, Hope Lodge NYC. This event is all about expressing creativity and kindness through an evening filled with inspiration and extravagant design. We are so impressed by the dedication of the 26 designers and are thankful for the generous outpouring and design support from all of the sponsors, donors and volunteers.”
