Last week, Elle Decor visited DesignPhiladelphia for a panel discussion and a private cocktail party, serving as a sneak preview of the architectural installation “You’re So Vain.”

The Elle Decor panel, moderated by Ingrid Abramovitch, included Principal of Hamilton Design Associates Ellen Hamilton, Million Dollar Contractor Stephen Fanuka and Design Director for Marguerite Rodgers Design Nina Pritzker-Cohen.

Abramovitch discussed the process of renovating homes with modern elements while still maintaining the historical integrity of the home. She shared photos from her coffee table book that include peeks into Julianne Moore's home and her new renovation.

Fanuka stated that forgetting to "style" a room is like "making a sundae but forgetting the sprinkles and fudge."

Hamilton described how she layers rich unexpected colors to create complex palettes that are soothing to the soul, while Pritzker-Cohen discussed turning flea market furniture finds into lovely modern pieces.

Following the panel, Elle Décor & Caesarstone USA hosted guests for a private cocktail party to view the installation “You’re so Vain.”

Keeping in line with that theme, design firm Thoreen&Ritter re-imagined the concept of beauty and created this installation that forces the viewer to ponder the idea of perfection.

The installation brought new colors from Caesarstone's Classico line to life.
