We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Architectural Project Manager to manage high-end residential projects from concept through construction. This is a design-focused role with significant project management and construction coordination responsibilities.
Working closely with the Principals and design team, this individual will help develop and execute cohesive design solutions while coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal team members throughout each project.
-Develop interior concepts through space planning, material selection, precedent imagery, rendering, and presentations.
-Develop finish palettes, architectural details, millwork, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, furniture, and other interior elements.
-Source and coordinate materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting, and specialty items.
-Prepare drawing packages including plans, elevations, RCPs, sections, millwork details, custom furniture details, and construction documentation.
-Coordinate FF&E, finishes, lighting, plumbing, hardware, and millwork across drawings, specifications, schedules, and consultant documentation.
-Manage project schedules, deliverables, design milestones, approvals, and outstanding items across multiple projects.
-Coordinate with architects of record, contractors, trades, vendors, fabricators, and specialty consultants.
-Lead and participate in client, consultant, contractor, and internal project meetings.
-Proactively identify and resolve design, coordination, and construction issues while keeping the Principals informed of project progress.
-Participate in site meetings and reviews to monitor construction progress and design intent.
-Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, samples, and mock-ups and provide design clarifications as required.
-Coordinate deficiencies and outstanding items through construction, installation, and project completion.
-Support junior team members and maintain organized project documentation.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture / Interior Architecture
-4 - 5 years minimum of professional architectural experience, with a strong emphasis on high-end residential projects
-Proven experience managing projects from design through construction completion
-Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting, and 3D modeling; Rhino is preferred
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
-Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
-Experience coordinating consultants and construction teams
Location & Travel Requirements
This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in New York City (Manhattan or Brooklyn) to accommodate regular in-person project responsibilities. The position requires regular travel to project sites, vendor showrooms, and meetings, primarily throughout Manhattan. Reliable transportation is beneficial, and access to a vehicle is a plus but not required.
