A key focus of the panel and programming is “Mindfulness by Design,” which the organization says “raises the strategic value of design through better methods, practices, processes, leadership and quality, building on the emotional approach of DFA’s #DoItFor campaign.”

Irene Au, “Design and the Self”

Design, as the tangible manifestation of intention, has the power to shape how we think and feel. Conversely, how we create and what we design are the culmination of who we are as individuals coming together to make something for others. In this talk, Au, a design partner at Khosla Ventures, will explore how our inner state manifests in design, and why the best thing we can do to become better designers may be to work on ourselves.
