Fabric and wallpaper retailer DecoratorsBest recently introduced a designer trade program that offers benefits such as discounts, free memo samples (up to 10 per day), notifications of new collections, and the ability to use DecoratorsBest as a “back office.” The web site provides services such as help with placing orders and order tracking.

Founder Barbara Karpf wanted to create a one-stop-shop for designers, and the site aims to be a “virtual design mart” where trade members can research and order product in one place, streamlining some of the processes that can get in the way of the creative side of designers’ businesses.

“If you can save people time, you are doing something to help their businesses and lives,” said Karpf.

Companies selling through DecoratorsBest include Clarence House, Fabricut, Kravet, Duralee, Lee Jofa and many others. The site also features a blog and video page with tips from designers and inside looks at showhouses like NYC’s Holiday House.
