The NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) and the NKBA Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) are partnering with CEDIA, the leading trade association for the residential technology industry, for the 2017 Design & Construction Week, coming to Orlando January 10 to 12.

“We have seen explosive growth in Design & Construction Week over the past few years, primarily due the draw of having so many big industry players all in one place,” says NAHB CEO Jerry Howard. “The addition of CEDIA only further bolsters the prominence of the shows and we are thrilled to have them as part of the IBS show floor. DCW has become the premier event for our industry, and we expect the 2017 show to be the best year yet.”

Over 110,000 residential and design professionals came to the third Design & Construction Week this past January in Las Vegas. Original partners NAHB and NKBA co-located their shows (IBS and KBIS); they were also joined by partner events, the International Window Coverings Expo and The International Surface Event, hosting more than 2,500 exhibitors across 1.2-million-plus square feet of exhibit space.

“NKBA is thrilled that the collaboration with CEDIA has led to the creation of this new home technology destination at Design & Construction Week,” says Bill Darcy, NKBA’s CEO. “This is ultimately a huge win for consumers, as we lead the way in connecting the industry to a better kitchen, bath and connected home.”

“Being able to partner with NAHB and NKBA is a fantastic opportunity not only to showcase the numerous technology solutions that are available, but to also build an awareness and understanding of how CEDIA technology professionals and design professionals can work together to create homes that are luxurious, entertaining, safe and efficient,” says Vin Bruno, CEDIA’s CEO.
