From C-suite additions to design firm promotions, read on for BOH’s monthly roundup of arrivals and departures in design, manufacturing, media and more.
Retail & Manufacturing
Jason Phillips has been promoted to CEO of furniture manufacturer Phillips Collection nearly 20 years after joining the family company as vice president.
Texas-based manufacturer Weir’s Furniture has promoted Dirk Smith to succeed J. Mark Moore as CEO. Smith joined the company in 2020 as director of merchandising and was promoted to senior vice president of operations in 2022. Moore, who has been with the brand for 38 years (and was CEO for 21), will continue to serve on the board of directors.
Illinois-based Skyline Furniture appointed Meganne Wecker as CEO, succeeding her father, Ted Wecker. Wecker, who previously served as president and chief creative officer, represents the third generation of family leadership in the manufacturing company’s 78-year history. Meganne is also the founder of furniture brand Cloth & Company, which she launched in 2016. Ted will continue as CEO emeritus of Skyline Furniture; and Trent Steed, previously the executive vice president, will now be president.
John Boos & Co., the manufacturer of sustainable cutting boards and kitchen equipment, announced a string of executive hirings. Damon Childers is the new president and CEO, the brand’s fourth president in its 137-year history; Ty Jones has been appointed vice president of business development; Patrick Smith is the new director of strategic accounts; Lisa Bosio joins as the director of consumer products and strategic marketing; Samantha Gann is the director of e-commerce and digital marketing; and Sarah Fisher is the new brand marketing manager.
Home improvement products manufacturer Leaf Home has appointed Rocco Mango as chief executive officer. Mango has served as interim CEO since April, after serving as chief operating officer starting in 2019.
Regina Andrew Detroit, the lighting company, hired Heather Dumford as director of creative content and marketing, a new role in the company. Dumford was most recently the creative director for the Charlotte-based advertising agency Wray Ward.
Stylex, the commercial furniture company, welcomed Tina Brennan as the new vice president of marketing and sustainability. Brennan joins from Metropolis Magazine, where she was the vice president of marketing and experiential events. She also had publishing world stints at Interior Design magazine as executive director of integrated marketing, and Architectural Digest as marketing director.
Danish silverware and jewelry brand Georg Jensen welcomed Paula Gerbase as creative director. Gerbase is the founder and creative director of her own design studio, Gerbase, and is the former artistic director of British bootmaker John Lobb.
To the Trade
The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center has a new senior marketing events manager: Michelle Westcott-Richards. She brings two decades of design industry PR experience, most recently as head of global public relations and special events for home design manufacturing company Fiskars Group.
Uovo, the storage and white-glove collection management company for art, fashion and wine, hired Martha Hart as head of international shipping. Hart was previously the registrar for the Hessel Museum of Art at Bard College.
Connecticut-based wallpaper company Sister Parish Design welcomed Jackson McCard as head of sales. McCard is a former national sales director of McKinnon and Harris, and before that was a manager at Treillage, Bunny Williams and John Rosselli’s Manhattan antiques and design store.
Fabric and wallpaper company Rebecca Atwood Designs welcomed Chelsea Thornton as the new Western region sales manager.
Bobby Contini is the new manager at the Duke Wood Floors showroom in New York’s D&D Building, after serving as showroom manager at Harbinger and Lucas Studio since 2022. He previously held the roles of senior sales director at Madera and managing director of LV Wood.
Design & Architecture
Maryland-based design firm Ayers Saint Gross has promoted principal and vice president Joel Fidler to president, replacing Luanne Greene, who has been in the position since 2016. Fidler joined the firm in 2011; before that, he was a project architect and associate at Cho Benn Holback + Associates.
Global architecture and design firm B+H appointed Michele Cohen as health care principal at the Toronto office. Cohen brings a breadth of experience, most recently serving as principal at architecture and engineering firm NORR for nearly eight years.
Arcadis, the consultancy firm for sustainable design and engineering, hired Jeffrey Till as principal of the company’s Placemaking practice in San Francisco, where he will lead efforts in sustainable urbanism and design. He was the principal architect for his Bay Area–based firm Design Studio Till from 2017 to September of this year.
St. Louis–based design firm Lawrence Group welcomes three additions to its marketing department. Claire Strube is the new marketing proposal specialist, rejoining the firm after working as a marketing proposal coordinator for architecture firm Oculus Inc. Jane Chrisanty, the new digital marketing specialist, comes from Mighty Cricket, where she was a marketing account manager. Emily Hill is a new marketing specialist joining from marketing agency Experience Fresh, where she was chief of staff.
Media & PR
Benjamin Reynaert, the interior stylist and creative consultant, has joined Elle Decor as interim market director. He was previously the design and market editor at the publication from 2016 to 2018. Reynaert is the founder of consultancy Benjamin Reynaert Creative and also previously served as creative director of Interior Define and style director at Domino Media Group.
Galerie magazine welcomed Ryan Waddoups as its new deputy design editor. In his six years at Surface magazine, Waddoups held the positions of news editor, senior editor and then deputy editor.
Industry Organizations
The National Kitchen & Bath Association announced its 2025 board of directors. The Pennsylvania-based organization elected Eduardo Cosentino, executive vice president of Cosentino Group and CEO of Cosentinio Americas, as chairman—one of the youngest board chairs in the group’s history. He will be joined by new NKBA board member Kerrie Kelly, CEO and creative director of Kerrie Kelly Studio, who has been elected vice chair; and returning member Ken Roberts, president of Atlas Roofing Corporation, will be the next secretary and treasurer.
