On September 17, the Michigan Design Center Home Tour will introduce attendees to the homes of designers Joe Keenan, Paul Feiten, Barry Harrison, Michael Coyne and Jeffrey King. Ticket proceeds from the self-guided tour will benefit Humble Design, an area nonprofit that provides home furnishings and design assistance to families moving out of homeless and domestic abuse shelters.
“We’ve admired the work of these talented designers for years, and now we have the rare opportunity to tour their own homes,” says Susan Todebush, MDC’s executive vice president and general manager. “You won’t want to miss out on this chance, and all proceeds are going to Humble Design, a local group that is doing wonderful work for families coming out of homelessness. It’s a win‐win.”
The homes span different styles, including French manor, colonial, East Coast ranch, and colonial revival, and were built between 1921 and 1968.
