Print the Future, which brought its wares to High Point this past spring season as the first 3-D printed furniture exhibitor, has tapped the self-described “Ms. Modernism,” Annalisa Capurro, director of Modernism Corporation, as advisory board member. Capurro, an interior designer, design educator, writer and speaker, will be responsible for expanding the brand in Australia and, potentially, developing a line of 3-D-printed furniture inspired by midcentury modern design and architecture.

Print the Future lets customers design their own pieces either in-store or online with a designer.
“Annalisa’s influence in the design community, especially in Sydney, will help us spread the mission of Print the Future throughout the global market,” says Neil Patel, CEO of Print the Future, which debuted a pop-up store in New York in March.
“I would love to create a line of 3-D-printed furniture inspired by this iconic and once again fashionable era,” says Capurro. “As Ms. Modernism, I could think of nothing more exciting. Design of the mid-20th century was cutting edge, innovative and embraced new technologies paralleling what is possible with the use of 3-D print technology today. I feel it would be a perfect fit with the renewed interest in everything retro, vintage and midcentury...and commercially viable too.”
